About

Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame inductee and photojournalist Tom Gilbert takes a photo at a Tulsa Press Club party celebrating his induction at Marshall Brewing Co.

Membership with the Tulsa Press Club provides networking, educational and social opportunities. We also offer a unique connection to more than 100 years of Tulsa history. You will find yourself involved with conversations with key local, regional and state leaders. You will work alongside local journalists dedicated to informing the public. You will be given the chance to take the lead on events and collaborations to help this community become what it can be. Since 1906, the Tulsa Press Club has worked to bring our community together.

Our pledge

  • To promote the highest standards of journalism and to encourage the pursuit of journalism careers among students.
  • To defend the principle of Freedom of the Press and the public’s right to have access to public information.
  • To encourage the interchange of ideas between members of the media and those of the professional community with whom they come into contact.
  • To foster the highest ideals of ethics and fairness among all members.
  • To extend benevolence and assistance to recognized charitable organizations.

The Tulsa Press Club likes to showcase venues across the city for its events and offer members to taste local restaurants. This is an event at The Bramble in Tulsa’s Pearl District.
